“I Know What I Should Be Doing, I’m Just Not Doing It.”
This is one of the most common statements I hear from the clients and athletes I work with.
I coach collegiate, professional, and olympic athletes. I coach stars in Hollywood and on Broadway. I coach multi-million dollar CEOs. And I coach the everyday person like you and me.
As it turns out, we all have a little more in common than we recognize.
You’re drinking your coffee, starting your day, and you check social media...
From their podcast booth, you have someone telling you to “be more disciplined.” It doesn’t matter if you’re newborn was up all night, “just do it.”
You see another influencer showing off their “perfect body.” A professional photoshoot, cropping, editing, and enhancing their photos can go a long way.
Then you scroll to another and “an expert” is debating white and brown rice. Telling you not to eat eggs. Spinach is bad for you. Cardio kills yours gains.
You see, none of this shit really matters.
You know what does matter — recognizing that you need to take care of yourself.
This starts by looking within. What are your values? Your goals? Your dreams? Think about areas like your family, your health, your career.
No, having abs isn’t a dream. You don’t really care all that much about having a 6 pack.
How much weight you’re putting on the barbell isn’t the end-all be-all to your self worth.
Seeing the same number on the scale you saw back in highschool ... not that important to you.
What do you actually care about?
Feeling confident in your own skin.
Believing in yourself.
Setting a great example that you and your family are proud of you.
Most of all, living a life where are you fully present and capable instead of being limited by your health or fitness level.
Your daily actions are casting "votes" towards this person you are striving to become.
Align your actions with what you really care about.
Day after day, you will feel the benefits.
Month after month, you will see the progress.
But after a year, YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE.
